Call for contributions

The journal Philo-Fictions (la revue des non-philosophies), originally established by François Laruelle and the members of the ONPhI (Organisation Non-Philosophique Internationale), proposed Energy as the topic for this issue. Text proposals should include but were not limited to:

• Kosmos and Khaos (order and chaos);
• Kyklos and anakainos (cycles and renewals);
• Synkinésis and thumos (emotions and courage);
• Méta, pneuma, dia, gnosis, manteia (transmissions, knowledge, inventions);
• Exphrasé and phatis, logoi (expressions and languages);
• Dunamis and kinesis, mêtis (power and movements, forces and disguises);
• Kairos and moira (occasions, temporality and destiny);
• Tukhé and automaton, sumbebêkos (chance, non-determinism);
• Télos and pistis (finality, intentionality, faith);
• Hypokheimenos, ontos, bios and logos (essence and nature, life, reason, language, logic);
• Praxis, krisis, éthos, polemos (practice, action, crises, morals and conflicts);
• Energeia (force, structure, production and conservation);
• Mathemata (algorithms);
• Polis, kratos, agôn, emporion, antistasis (energy as political force, conflicts and cooperation, power games and resistance);
• Ergon, énergeia, entropia (questioning work, struggle, risk, control and mastery);
• Philosophia and sophia (the nature of energy — philosophical and non-philosophical — strength in thought, the refusal of thought).

Deadlines (archive)

• 31 March 2020 — Abstract submission deadline.
• 30 June 2020 — Proposal acceptance notification.
• 31 August 2020 — Contributions submission deadline.
• 30 November 2020 — Contributions reviewed, returned to authors.
• 31 December 2020 — Revised contributions submission.

Submission procedure (archive)

Please submit proposals by providing:

• title of contribution;
• abstract (350 words);
• brief comment on which of the recommended topics the proposed contribution addresses (200 words);
• contact information (last name, first name, role, institution and email).

Evaluated by the editorial advisory board. Full contributions expected to be 4,000–8,000 words; original and unpublished work.
