Translation is a transcendental operation that allows a multiplicity of fictions to unfold from a variety of different materials — natural languages first of all, but not exclusively. From a non-philosophical point of view, translation(-)fictions can be rigorous only if they free themselves from the transcendent operation of translating that keeps the source-material in a specular relation with its own claim to originality.
The contributions gathered in this issue strive to draw fictions as rigorous as possible from their various enactments of non-philosophical translating — critique of the restricted modalities of philosophical translating, reworking of the non-philosophical operation in (translation) activity, or invention of unprecedented practices from a variety of materials and occasions.
